I get it. The fanbase is pissed about being mediocre for the last 25 teams. Everyone knows that Ron Rivera and JDR gotta go.

However, firing them at this moment isn’t going to change the outcome of this season. Who the hell is going to call plays on the defense? Juan Castillo? All the assistant coaches don’t have much experience calling a defense.

For people saying Bieniemy should get a shot to coach this team, he would be set up for failure. You think he’s going to be able to fix the defense? Lets say he becomes interim HC today with the Cowboys twice, Dolphins, 49ers, Jets, Rams. At best we’re gonna to 2-4 against them. You really think that’s a fair trial for him? That schedule with a team he had minimal involvement with roster construction?

Also, interim head coaches generally don’t become head coaches when the season ends. Rich Bessachia took over the raiders after the Jon Gruden fiasco, lead them to 7-5 and got them in the playoffs and still didn’t become a head coach.

As sick as I am of Ron and JDR, we might as well let them stink it up, ride out the season and fire them on Black Monday. I’m just not sure what we gain if we fire them today vs the end of the season.

It’s not about winning more games, it’s about giving the players an opportunity to learn and grow. Nothing good is happening with Ron and JDR. You don’t need an interim coach who is going to be the face of the franchise or a long term solution. But you have to acknowledge that the current staff is actively hurting the development of the players at this point and if you want to move forward as an org, you have to fire these clowns. Imagine going to work every day and your boss is an old out of touch asshat who can’t lead, that’s what the players are dealing with right now. People who say don’t fire them until after the season are missing the point that keeping them is stunting player development and hurting the team in the long run
