Jalen was scorching today. Elite vision with 4 classic TOs only elite players can make. 3/10 with bricks only the likes of Kobe and Jordan could replicate. It will take 15 years for him to reach his potential but growth isn’t linear so anyone criticising him is just a fairweather fan that doesn’t know ball. I am thrilled with his development. You can tell he is learning and getting better every game with the deer in the headlights hesitation in crunch time.
While he’s been on a rough stretch lately and it is concerning, we have to remember it’s still a new system. He’s shown enough flashes of scoring within the offense to have some faith. He should be stringing together a nice run by the All-star break, otherwise it’s definitely a problem for our future.
a new system doesn’t excuse blown layups and boneheaded turnovers. no matter what system there is at the end of the day you need to put the orange ball in the hoop and no amount of system changes affect players that are truly elite. Jalen isn’t a future All Star.
