Well we can finally go a week without the Dobbs vs Kirk discussion. I know even before I post this that people will try to blame Mattison over him or say the 2 tds we did get were results of him making plays with his legs. But the simple reality is that Dobbs isn’t a good enough passer to fully utilize this offense his limit seems to be throwing 15 yard slants to Hock. Scrambling and running is a good thing but then quick reads and accurate throws is something we should be looking for in our next QB. Wether we continue with Kirk or draft. ( maybe run it back with hall)
Dobbs is not 100% to blame but watching his lows is painful
Anyone who thought Dobbs was “the answer” needs a head check. The guy is a back up QB, he’s been on a million teams for a reason. No team will bet the next 3-4 years on him being their starter. If they do, they’ll regret it midway through his first full year.
The one thing Dobbs has shown is the need for a young mobile QB for the future. So that means Kirks not the answer either. Kirk will be 36 coming off and Achilles tear making him even less mobile.
