Something not mentioned in the article that was shown off in the video is that they will be adding in some champion rivalry based quests to the game. They mentioned that they would only be small buffs, and showed off Jax/Bel’Veth, Zed/Shen, and Nasus/Renekton as examples.
I bet malzahar/doom slayer(kassadin) would be one, katarina/cassiopeia, perhaps j4 vs either sion since sion literally wears his dad’s skull, or sylas.
Oo ornn/volibear would be awesome. Yasuo/Yone. Master yi and Wukong were master and student for a long time so maybe them. It’d be funny to see xayah vs rakan if they are on opposite teams as more of a playful rivalry rather than a serious one like some of the others.
Maybe Jinx vs Vi/Caitlyn will give an actual buff.
Zoe vs Aatrox would be epic, I don’t think aatrox hates any one champion more than Zoe since she gave targon the means to imprison him in the sword. On that same line Pantheon vs Asol would be cool too since they fought once.
Jayce vs Viktor is canonical. I’m unsure about Garen vs maybe Darius? I don’t know if Darius has beef with any one specific person but Garen/Darius just makes sense to me.
Azir vs Xerath is canonical along with renekton/nasus. Diana vs Leona is canonical. I’d like to think Kayle/Morgana but there’s no fucking way Morgana wins that xD
LeBlanc and Swain is canonical. Maybe Ryze vs Brand since brand is corrupted by a world rune so ryze would kinda be all over that.
Seraphine vs Sona cuz uhh…music industry??? Vocals vs instruments??? There’s so many I’m sure I’m missing some more possibilities but I like the idea of tons of them, im super into lore even if it means nothing in game xD
