In PPR, Niners are 16th in points allowed to RBs this year. So they are an average matchup for RBs.
The Eagles are the toughest run D but they allow the 7th most receiving yards to RBs which is one Charbonnet’s strengths.
His only tough upcoming matchup are the Cowboys.
So the narrative that he has some sort of brutal schedule isn’t true. If you believe in the talent, he’s a solid RB2. The volume will be there.
There’s not a lot of tape on Charb as an nfl rb1 (really just last weeks brief film). He’ll be taking starting reps in their short practice week, and I’m sure they’ll scheme some stuff up for Charb. I have both KW3 and him, and despite fucking hating Charb for eating into Kenny’s work, he does look really solid running the ball and catching passes. SF D is tough, but there’s no reason why he can’t give you 10 maybe 15 points here with all of his touches.
