2016 Jeep Renegade sport

I recently ordered a Mopar clutch kit for my Jeep with the friction plate and pressure plate. They machined the flywheel and I paid around $1200 for labor. A few days after the repair was completed, the clutch pedal dropped to the floor.

Do clutch kits typically come with slave cylinders? The kits I have seen online don’t seem to, and it wasn’t mentioned to me at all as a need during the original repair. They said they need to take it apart and check the cylinder now and let me know, so I’m a little worried the labor is going to hit 1200 again.

Any info/advice regarding this situation? Just looking to be informed when we have our follow-up conversation.

Depends on the kit, but generally no. This slave cylinder is internal, as in mounted on the transmission input shaft, so they would have to remove the transmission again.

But I would first insist they try and bleed the system of air
