I think this should be a bigger deal than it is yet among teams. I wonder if the players union will/can take any action. Given how much is going into this tournament there is no excuse for the league not to monitor and ensure exact specifications and pristine condition for these floors. It would be peak capitalism if this marketing stunt results in injuries because of corner cutting around this basic requirement for guys to play safely.

    This reminds me of the “new balls” saga. Enough players complained about them that they stopped using them mid-season. This is a health & safety issue, so I can see this stopping ASAP.

    Whoever designed and contracted the courts ought to be concerned.
