Here’s the thing

Even with Roethlisberger at QB on the team, the offense has been lackluster ever since AB and Juju left, and when Matt Canada became OC, and when the veteran linemen signed elsewhere or retired.

How many QBs has Pittsburgh drafted to try to replace Ben, and how many are considered viable starting QBs?

If there are that many QBs being trained under Roethlisberger and the coaching staff, and none of them are considered starting caliber, and the offense is as predictable as ever, and the O-Line is as thin as paper, then the COACHING is the core issue with the team.

How can you expect a QB with 1 year of experience to be good when the coaching fails him?

Everyone saw what Pickett was capable of. Everyone said he is the Franchise QB. But now that he is “underperforming”, he’s the villain? What happened to the endless chants to fire Matt Canada? What happened to the calls for a better O-Line? What happened to even the calls to fire Mike Tomlin?

I love the Steelers as much as the next guy. But a guy can’t transition to the NFL from a collegiate level environment, and succeed, if coaches fail him.

Fire Matt Canada.

Get a new O-Line.

Get a new QB coach.

Pickett will thrive this way.

This is pretty much my sentiment. I just cant say no to pickett till we beef up the oline and try a new OC/Qb coach. We can potentially get someone marginally better but whats the point. If we get another qb in our current state we’ll just ruin another qbs career imo. Give pickett one more year with those few changes and if it doesnt work out Il throw in the towel.
