Sun God is so good at catching them, do they do it into coverage to prevent turnovers on contested catches in tight windows? Every game I see St Brown is making catches he has no business catching.

I think Goff is doing what he can to minimize interceptions, even at the cost of reducing his completion %. It’s a part of how he’s running this offense - he’s not trying to put up 50/50 balls; he’s trying to put them where only his receivers can reach them. (Reminder that yesterday, only 1 of 3 can truly be put on Goff. A tipped ball and a body blow to LaPorta led to the other two.)
That’s, I think, why there are so many throws that are low, or behind the receiver, or sailing over the receiver’s head out-of-bounds.
Trust in his receivers is a major part of his willingness to throw to them - Goff’s interview the other day, specifically when asked about Jamo, shines a light on that as well. If he doesn’t think they can, for whatever reason, be able to reel in a ball, he’s not going to throw it to them. But part of that trust means diving for low throws, stretching out the body for wide throws, etc.
