I’m trying to set up my 8Bitdo ultimate 2.4G wireless controller with my Steam deck. I have the official Steam deck as well as two other off-brand ones. My steamdeck is up to date. I have the USB dongle plugged into the back of my dock. The controller vibrates and the light is solid but no input on the screen. There is no option for “Player 1” and “Player 2” in the controller settings as others have mentioned. I have also tried switching from X input and D input on the back of the controller. Past this, I’m really out of ideas on how to get it working.

    for my 8bitdo controller (a wired one) i had to install an extra driver.

    But I am not sure if the same is needed for the 8Bitdo ultimate 2.4G wireless controller But the driver i am using DOES mention a dongle version.

    I used some script that automated the install process, but I cant Find the original link for the script. (i got it from a reddit post here)

    But the Core command was basically going to desktop mode, and running…

      wget -O /tmp/bootstrap.sh https://t.ly/kEf0 && sh /tmp/bootstrap.sh

    This makes two icons on the desktop that update/install the needed packages and xone driver. But I cant find the post where i got the above script from.

    If you dont trust the script, look at what it does.
