Hot take: the Chiefs receiving core is not as bad as it seems after this horrible loss. The huge issue is how the coaching staff continues to rotate the receivers after every single play. It’s comical at this point. It might not be as noticeable from the TV broadcast, but when you’re at the game watching the pre snap huddle, it’s astonishing how much our receivers rotate 3 in and 3 out. There’s a different combination of receivers in on every snap. You very rarely have the same WR in for 2 consecutive plays.

With a struggling offense, this constant rotation gives Mahomes zero chance to develop chemistry with any receiver. Rashee Rice makes a great play? Immediately sub him out for MVS who does nothing more than run cardio and drop the ball. Kelce and Pacheco are the only players on offense who consistently get touches.

It’s inexcusable at this point. Rice, Toney and Watson should be seeing 90% of the snaps and only getting subbed out when they need a breather. Skyy and Mecole can still get the gadget plays. MVS is awful and should be a healthy inactive.
