Most people remember the impressive comeback hat-trick vs Atlético Madrid with Juventus or the hat-trick vs Atlético in the UCL semi-final but in my opinion, Ronaldo’s best performance against the Madrid city rivals came in 2012. Not just the hat trick that consisted of 2 stunners but his overall game was on another world. My favourite individual performance ever.
This performance also greatly strengthened Madrid’s title charge giving them a 4 point lead on top, so the importance is also there.
