Hello,

I am looking at getting Applewatches for my wife and 16-year-olddaughter for Christmas. I know nothing about them. From my understanding the 8 and 9 are the newest however a bit out of my price range. Is there anything wrong with this version? I understand it may not have all of the features of the 8 or 9. Thanks in advance for helping an old, clueless man out.

    Nope, the SE 2nd generation is a very good watch. It has the same processor as the Series 8 watch but just lacks some of the features (Always in Display, Blood Oxygen Measurement, ECG). It should serve them well. Pay attention to the two different sizes and select based upon how large each of their wrists are. Both of them need to have Apple iPhones (iiPhone XR or newer) to set them up.
