There’s never been a QB (or player) that has divided the Jets fan base more than Zach. He actually bought the worst out in Jets fans and admittedly in me too. I wasn’t a “Zach truther” like so many of you screamed at me, I just acknowledged there’s way more issues than him. He isn’t good, I acknowledged that multiple times and that’s the issue: you say anything remotely positive about 2 and you’re a delusional idiot who doesn’t understand football. And if you say anything remotely negative: you’re a delusional idiot who doesn’t know football. It’s just tiring. Truth is Zach is an insanely physically talented quarterback who mentally isn’t ready and that’s dragging him and everybody down. Will he ever be mentally ready? I don’t know and with all due respect to him, I don’t care. Whether he does or doesn’t, it won’t be here. I wish him luck because he is very talented, and unfortunately he got in his own way.

And as Jets fans we gotta be better, he made this fanbase toxic. Like you guys can’t hate him that much. You don’t know him. And truthers you can’t love him that much. Be serious. I really don’t care about the rest of the season, so this offseason only draft WR and OLine (and trade for Tae Adams).

    Every push has a pull.

I think the loud and angry anti-Zach sentiments came because there were loud and enthusiastic pro-Zach takes. Defense forces 4 turnovers and the Jets win by 3? That’s because Zach was QB baby! At a certain point it’s just delusional and comical. People are sick of hearing it and it got to the point of a lynch mob on those posts.

I do admit we have to be more kind to each other. This is just a hobby.

Also this just had to be acknowledged but the BYU/Mormon influence here was astounding. I started screening poster history and WOW…they really just followed him here because of his faith/college. I don’t remember so many USC stans for Darnold or Sanchez.
