With the Rooneys saying goodbye to Canada today, when I don’t think they’ve ever dismissed a coach mid-season… I reason that hope is justified. They obviously think it is a necessary move for the team to move forward and have a shot at the playoffs. Also that it is necessary, so that it gives Kenny a chance to be successful in his sophomore year. What is your opinion? Has the flame of hope reignited?
Dove into Mike Sullivan a bit because I was tickled pink with the news this morning, fully aware Canada is only part of the problem:
Sully called plays for the 2012 Buccaneers and 2016 Giants, he’s been around the league on the offensive side of the ball since '03, and football in general since '93
Bucs had a good offense lead by Josh Freeman (lol), Doug Martin, and Vincent Jackson/Mike Williams in 2012
Giants O wasn’t great in 2016 but it was the final leg of Eli’s career, they had a mixed bag at RB, and young OBJ
Hoping he’s been around the block enough to make simple, yet meaningful changes to the playbook, realizes we should still be a run-first team but allow (read: force) Kenny to get uncomfortable and start throwing down the middle of the field (change the first read and stop giving him BS outlets for no gain), and get his ass out of the pocket and scrambling more
