Since taking over Veach has shown he will aggressively fix deficiencies in the roster. He did it after 2018 after sutton was fired by getting Clark and Mathieu as part of a defensive overhaul. After superbowl 55 when Mahomes ran for his life, he re-made the OL in one offseason into one of the leagues top units. After Clark and Mathieu and SB 54 crew no longer got it done, he re-shaped the defense again with Karlaftis, Mcduffie, Bolton, Reid, and others, and its now one of the best in the league.

His attempted overhaul of the WR room after the Hill trade is still a good move- Juju was solid, MVS will forever have the 2022 AFCCG to his credit, Toney had a big return in the SB, Mahomes had a stellar mvp season and we won the SB again.

This year we got Rice, who has a bright future, but its clear they played it too loose at the position with the departure of Juju and put too much on Mahomes to make something happen. Turns out theres limits to even mahomes- and Kelce who is starting to look his age (though still putting up a season that would be a career year for many TEs).

So it sucks to watch these guys drop passes and fumble. It sucks that Kelce might not be a #1 option anymore. Its probably going to cost us in the playoffs. But, Veach has shown he will aggressively fix a problem. The WR room is a glaring problem. The 2024 draft has a stellar WR class. It going to get fixed.

I said the same thing between this season and last…. Also before the trade deadline. This dude hates receivers.
