I keep hearing the national bobble-heads quip that the Browns don’t get turnovers but the defense caused 8 drives that were 3 & out or were less than 20 yards end in a punt against the Steelers (that doesn’t even count the end of half or end of game “drives”). Isn’t that basically the same as a deep pass interception? What’s your opinion?
If all turnovers were deep pass INT with no return it wouldn’t matter much. But if you’re already close enough to the end zone they take at least 3 points of the board and, since it’s the offense on the field, there’s a big risk of a good return that will left the opponent with good field position to score.
