The eagles have had tremendous success in the Hurts / Siri era. But after all -this is Philly- so I’d like to point out an incredible flaw in these good times.

It surprises me that Sirianni is hardly criticized for his inability to call the plays. Steichen was a great OC and I commend Nick for handing the role off as it was beneficial for the team at the time. But Steichen being good at calling plays just blanketed this flaw.

Now, we’re sitting here 9-1, yes. And although that’s a record we’d all gladly accept. It’s hiding this flaw again of a nondefensive HC also unable to call plays offensively. This whole Brian Johnson struggle would’ve been avoided. And we will continue to go through these “growth periods” frequently as a successful OC would get hired elsewhere and unsuccessful OC would be fired - if Nick cannot assume this responsibility as a HC. It’s on him

    “This whole Brian Johnson struggle”

You mean the one where a guy who has never OC’ed before has us in the top 10 in almost all offensive categories, comparable to last year but with a much more difficult schedule, while helping us get to 9-1 in pole position for the #1 seed, and have the QB be a leading contender for MVP?

    THAT struggle?
