Is there any way to automount a network share without breaking the read only file system? This may be a bit of a moot point as I will be installing tailscale which I understand will also require me to break the read only file system, but I would prefer to not have everything break every time I do an update as the Tailscale would be the least important part of it. I don’t care much about NFS/CIFS-Samba/ISCSI, would be coming from a NVME based TrueNAS device. Thanks!

I guess one way is to create a mnt folder in your home directory and create a BASH script that runs during login and see if you can mount SSHFS as a regular user. If not, you might need to run as Sudo. Haven’t tested it but in theory it should work…
