Starting to get back into OW2. Just curious what people’s answers and takes are. I’d guess most players have a pretty narrow pool, which is usually for the best.

I’m a D3 dps player. I’ve played off and on since launch and can play most of the DPS roster pretty competently for mid-diamond though, outside of Widow. Echo is definitely my primary pick most matches, it probably helps that I’m familiar with the game enough on other heroes to get value out of duplicate consistently.

So it’s like, I’ll usually swap between 4-5 comfort picks that I’ll pick blindly going into rounds and the rest I can pick up if they’re called for in certain situations. Genji, Cree, Tracer, Ashe, and Sojourn are probably the most situational picks I’ll play.

Only DPS heroes I really avoid touching are Widow, Bastion, Sombra, and Symmetra. The latter 3 are easy to play but not fun to me. Hanzo is the only other pick I avoid due to it requiring specialization like Widow, but I’ll play it into certain comps or matches if I feel I can still get value on him since he’s much more forgiving.

Gm dps and I can only play like 5 heroes, but there’s never any need to learn any more as my hero pool can fit any comp
