Got my OLED today and I have to install some games. My WiFi isn’t the best, so it’s gonna take a while.
The problem: the deck only downloads when the display is on (correct me if there is a way to download games in sleep mode). I set the deck to the lowest brightness level and now let it download everything.
Will this damage the display in some way if I let the deck on over night? Sorry for that question, I‘m no techie. Did some research and it seems like damaging like burn in will take a lot of time to happen. But I’m still not sure.
This is the new “What is other?”, I’m thinking. It’s only been asked a few dozen times now, but no, modern OLED displays are quite resilient to burn in. You basically have to leave the same static image up, without change, for literal years. Don’t worry about it.
