I’ve been wanting to go back to school for a while now but after visiting the EU for about 2 months I’ve decided to pursue graduate school (masters) in Europe in Computer/Data science or something related and want to apply for the upcoming winter term next year.

I graduated with a BA in math from a top 10 American school, but my GPA is low, (3.00). The admission process is giving me anxiety mostly because I’m unsure how it all works. I read that for German/Austrian schools admissions is based off prereq fulfillment rather GPA. I’m wondering if anybody could give me insight on that and if there’s any other countries that are similar. I fulfill the requirements for my interested programs and they are “free/non-impacted” admissions and wondering if it really is simple as that.

I’ve narrowed down countries I’m interested to, mainly ones I’ve spent time in:

Germany (TU Berlin, University of Berlin)

Austria (TU Vienna, University of Vienna)

The Netherlands

Switzerland

France

Belgium

if anyone can give me insight pleasee I feel a bit overwhelmed

I speak Japanese and an elementary amount of Spanish, but currently trying to learn German and French from my GF since she’s a native speaker. I know it’s not a good answer, but I am not sure if I would stay after graduating, and if so for how long. I think it would just boil down to how economic conditions are looking like and where the best opportunity presents itself
