Only game I’m getting is AW2. I’m not interested in anything else—which is unusual, I feel like the past couple of years there have been plenty of great games in the same year, but besides Baulder’s Gate, AW2, Spider-Man 2 and Life of Pi, (which are very specific to your game preferences; rpg, puzzle/adventure, and souls-like) it’s been a pretty bleh year.
What’s out or coming that’s got you really excited?
God of War Ragnorok, Horizon Forbidden West, Elden Ring, Stray, Sifu, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Kirby.
I did acknowledge good games this year, but there were also a lot of duds, and games that were AAA rated but were launching to push people to PS5 but were only offering 30 FPS for $70, or just didn’t provide what was promised. Games like Gollum, King Kong, Redfall, Forspoken, although controversial you could even say Hogwarts Legacy and Starfield with the repetitive gameplay.
To be fair, I did forget a major one, which is Legend of Zelda, but I’m just commenting on the failure to success rate for this year compared to the last 3 or even the last 6 years.
