Here are key takeaways from last night’s game:

  • It was the 3rd game in 4 nights. Some of the squad definitely had dead legs.

  • We missed a ton of easy looks early on. LBJ missed something like 3 layups in a row in the first quarter.

  • DAL made a concerted effort to scheme out AD with double- and triple-teams. And when he’d kickout we didn’t effectively convert.

  • We’re nowhere near 100% in terms of health. In fact, we’re missing 3 of our best onball defenders - Vando, Cam, and Vincent (if you don’t believe in a healthy Vincent, we can bet on a charity).

  • This squad is really good if not great. We literally came back from 20 and had the lead with 20 seconds to go. A tough loss but one indicative of how good we are even at something like 75%.

  • Also, we’re treating Prince exactly the way we treated KCP when he was in a shooting slump. It’s dumb. Prince is good. I’d argue really good, especially on D.

  • All the casuals and mouthbreathers who flood the sub after every loss need to CTFD.

    If we hit our shots when he kicks out to the open shooter, teams can no longer afford to double- or triple-team him. Last night that wasn’t working as effectively as it was in previous games. It’s all good though. I loved our run at the end even if we lost. It shows we have levels.
