Knocking sound from engine

I have a 2008 Kia Optima lx with a 2.4 that has a loud knocking noise while running. There isn’t any visible damage to the pistons and it idles smooth and the oil looks good. I’m at a loss for what to do next

How would I diagnose that? All 4 pistons go up and down as they are supposed to
