Bills quarterback Josh Allen always seems to be under a microscope. At every mistake, folks grab their pitchforks and take aim at No. 17 in Buffalo blue. Yet when other top quarterbacks around the league underperform. or make similar mistakes? Silence. It has…
I’ve been a Bills fan since a kid, literally 50 years. Since I could actually pay attention to the media call it 40 years. In those 40 years no matter how good or bad they’ve been people elsewhere WANT to pick the Bills apart. They’re in Buffalo, a super-small market. Maybe the smallest in the league.
And much of the time the team has been laughable, as a fan you have to know this. But the major teams, and many teams, probably all of them, have had laughable moments. But the major media markets are powerful enough to go pick on the small markets to deflect criticism of their teams.
The current laughingstock’s are the patriots and giants… They are a great example of franchises that have the ability to deflect everything. I mean the patriots had 20 great years, but before that they had pretty much 30 years of mediocrity at best. And the Giants have had moments of greatness, but a lot of years of total crap.
And you can look at most teams in the same way. But a lot of them can deflect it because they’ve got big market, powerful media on their side… Or even owning them.
