It bugs shit out of me when people say things like Ocarina of Time is the best game ever made - like I get that at the time it was probably the best (I prefer Majoras Mask but whatevs) but by todays standards it’s barely coherent, and certainly not good.
We need to stop judging media by its legacy and start judging it by its quality or we’re gonna be stuck in a rut where every single franchise is just trying to get back to its roots and relive that initial novelty - without trying anything new.
