I know it’s usually a QB title, but name another player who has won their respective teams as many games as TJ? Even if it isn’t a game winning sack, without his energy we’d be winless.

Watt is Incredible and so fun to watch, but the TJ circlejerk on this sub is hilarious. For instance even on this mvp post people can’t help but reference the pff Myles Garrett shit. Jesus… it is so overdone. Who gives a shit really? They’re clearly both HOF level players.
If Revis didn’t sniff mvp when he was completely erasing teams #1 wrs, don’t count on Watt garnering any serious contention. QBs dominate entire game plans and can bring a team back from a 20 point deficit in minutes as a result of their throws. Watt can sack the QB a few times, make some tackles, and sometimes create a turnover, but it’s nowhere close to the impact a good qb has. It’s just the nature of the game. Maybe if he was leading the league in tackles and sacks he might have a small chance.
Saying the Steelers would be much worse without him is true…but it’s the same for other great players on teams that aren’t stacked who aren’t QBs. Guys like Minkah, Jamar Chase, Jefferson, Derrick Henry, Davante, Chase Claypool, hell even Judon on the Pats has made their D look terrible without him. Now compare that to say the Jets without Rodgers. Or imagine no Herbert on the bolts or Burrow on Bungles. That’s why QBs are MVPs
