Recently saw a metric pointing out that the Cowboys have only really beaten teams that suck this year. Thought it would be interesting to look at a similar breakdown for the Broncos, so I looked at the record of the teams the Broncos have played (not including their games against the Broncos):
Teams Broncos have beaten:
Team | Record | Record (against other teams) |
---|---|---|
Chiefs | 7-3 | 6-4 |
Vikings | 6-5 | 6-4 |
Bears | 3-8 | 3-7 |
Bills | 6-4 | 6-3 |
Packers | 5-6 | 5-5 |
Total | 27-28 | 26-23 |
Combined record of 26-23 (Not including games played against the Broncos)
Teams Broncos have lost to:
Team | Record | Record (against other teams) |
---|---|---|
Chiefs | 7-3 | 6-4 |
Dolphins | 7-3 | 6-3 |
Raiders | 5-6 | 4-6 |
Commanders | 4-8 | 3-8 |
Jets | 4-6 | 3-6 |
Total | 27-26 | 22-27 |
Combined record of 22-27 (Not including games played against the Broncos)
Obviously a lot of this has to do with us heating up a little bit recently, but I found it interesting that our results were the opposite of what you’d expect (i.e. beating bad teams and losing to good teams).
Makes sense. We always beat the Cowboys.
