After that beating yesterday, making the playoffs might be a struggle, but if we could change the outcome of ONLY 2 plays this year, we would be sitting at 8-3 instead of 6-5. Those 3 losses would be blowouts (Rams, Ravens, Whiners). How would everyone feel about Waldron, Pete, and Geno if that were the case and everything else remains the same?
The 2 plays: Week 6 vs Bengals - 44-seconds left from CIN 8yd line, 3rd&8. Instead of an Incomplete pass, Geno hits Lockett for a TD. Seahawks win 20-17 against Bengals.
Week 11 vs Rams - 3-seconds left from LAR 37yd line, 3rd &8. Instead of a missed 55yd FG, Meyers nails it and Seattle wins 19-17 against Rams.
Change the outcome of these 2 plays and Seahawks are 8-3, 2-2 in division, but their 3 losses are blowouts (30-13 vs Rams, 37-3 @ Ravens, 31-13 vs Whiners). How do you feel about this team going into the next 3 games? How do you feel about them making playoffs? Are people still questioning Waldron, Geno, and Pete?
I wouldn’t feel any differently. Just as easily as those two games could have turned out differently, our wins against the Lions and Browns could have swung the other way. How would you feel about the season if those two games had ended in losses and we were 4-7?
