My son had the amazing fortune of being chosen to go on the field at the Vikings training camp. They were told that there’s basically no expectation for any autographs, but a bunch of the players came over and signed them anyway.
JJ, being the absolute stud he is, said hi to the kids as well. Even signed some autographs, including a football card my son pulled out. Out of the 10 or so Jefferson cards he had, he chose a card that’s a Jefferson/Cousins split card. He’s just as big of a Kirk fan as he is Justin, so his reasoning behind it was that he wanted, in his words, the greatest QB/WR duo in history.
Cousins kept trying to walk over to the kids as well, but every time he’d get close, a staff member would pull him away and he’d get ushered off field.
So I’m wondering if anyone knows of any way to get ahold of Kirk, any events he may be showing up at soon, or any places he may be before/after the game. Feel free to PM.
We are going to be in town for the December 24th game, as well, if that’s at all helpful.
I hate for thus to sound weird or stalkerish, so please only share ideas that are a “welcome” signing opportunity. I’m not looking to go knocking on his home door or wait outside his local grocery store or anything. 🤣 I just want to make my son’s wish come true for Christmas.
Also went to that same practice and it seemed to me that Kirk didn’t even do the autograph portion? I had 3 kids there and got Greg Joseph, Jaren Hall, and Ryan Wright. Kirk didn’t even appear to be sitting at the booths??
My son was selected because we signed up for the Kids Club. Got a little gift package for signing up, and then we were entered into a drawing to go onto the field. Got a random phone call from Illinois during the practice, which we almost ignored, but it turns out it was to notify us that our son had been selected to go down to the field!
This would have been the same day you’re talking about – QB signing day.
