Just wondering what at your thoughts of the new was the scheduling has been going the last 2 year with teams playing 2 games against eachother in 3 weeks mostly I think the new scheduling has kinda sucked

    This scheduling method isn’t new; the NFL would sometimes do that in the 1980s and 1990s.

    I remember one time in the early 1990s, I think it was the Chargers and Seahawks (when the Seahawks were in the AFC West), the NFL the two teams play one another, the following week one of the teams had a bye week, and the week after that they played again, such that one of the teams played consecutive games against the same opponent.

    Also, many years ago (late 1940s and 1950s, possibly also 1960s), teams would be scheduled to play one another in consecutive weeks. In the Eagles’ case, the most notable example may have been in 1960 when they played the Giants at Yankee Stadium in the game where Chuck Bednarik knocked out Frank Gifford, then played the Giants again in Philadelphia the following week.
