Dame did an interview talking about CJ and it sounds like he is trying to say that after CJ was traded his will and want to win a championship in Portland took a hit.

Which I personally think is a little crazy because do you want to compete or do you want to play with your friends? I’m sure ownership would have been happy rocking with the status quo and keeping Dame and CJ as the backcourt but Dame was the one who wanted to win more and the only way to do that was trade CJ. So to now say after that happened it took the wind out of your sails for wanting to win a championship in Portland is just… strange.

If you Google the story of how Olshey discovered CJ you’ll understand how he would never trade him.

And the real kicker was CJs contract that made it virtually impossible to sign enough talent to offset the weak guard defense
