I never heard the announcers say what the foul call was. Obviously the refs missed the blatant elbow to the head in a non-basketball move. They also missed the defensive violation for Issace staying in the paint too long. But when they did finally blow the whistle on Issac was it for bleeding on the floor? Because I’m struggling what else foul could have been.

He didn’t move so it isn’t a failure to give a shooter a landing zone (the shooter jumped into him). Was it tripping? Because normally you have to take an action to position your body (typically a leg and not a head) out to trip the other player. Was it contact in the restricted zone? I suppose that would make sense even if the actual contact might have been outside.

Cavs still should have made some stops and shots up 10 with 2 minutes left to get the W. But Issac not getting brutally assaulted twice in the span of a minute might have helped the cause.

I believe it was called a foul bc he wasn’t in legal guarding position.

You would think there would be an exception for when a player is hurt but some guys would probably take advantage of that unfortunately.

I think the Cavs should have fouled there. At first I was incensed at the call but I think by the rulebook it was probably correct
