Tanking has been a sad time of late, and I’ve tried to avoid it as much as possible. As a competitive Zarya/D.Va/Sigma player, I quickly fell out of love with the role.

And then the hog rework came along.

The ability to slow enemies, making them easier hookbait is a very welcome addition (plus the trap helps counter those filthy Sombra players with some smart placement).

Managing the rebreather is going to take some time, but it definitely has improved survivability and tankiness- weaving heals in between hooks, melees, shots and traps. He feels a lot more dynamic to play with now, as opposed to waiting for breather to come off cool-down before re-engaging.

Plus did the hook range get bigger? Or even the hit box for it? I seem to be getting a lot more pulls these days…

I haven’t quite figured out his weak spots at this stage, other than his always low mobility - but I think he’s possibly the best tank at present.

Anyone else thinking the same way? Or thinking differently? Open to hear your opinions!

it changed a lot by how he’s played and every well known hog player has noticed this
