That’s why some old dudes like myself keep believing in"offense wins games, defense wins championships" despite the high scoring times we have eight now.

Everyone can and will have an off night offensively (in case you are not named Michael Jordon even when it counts), but your defense will stay true if you hustle.

Yes and no. There will be games (especially in the playoffs) when teams will be able to score regardless of what we do. This is where we need guys to step up and score and why some of us have been saying we still need more shooting.

All that being said, if we can maintain near all-star like play from Franz, Paolo, a healthy Harris and near 6thMOTY play from Cole, then maybe we don’t need a ‘swing for the fences’ like trade (ala Levine). Perhaps we can go with a smaller-scale move to simply supplement what we have.

I absolutely don’t disagree. But if personally wouldn’t give up D for more shooting. Adding better shooting while keeping the d at this level: absolutely. When watching last game as AB as a starter, I sometimes thought we don’t need a shooting PG, but a good 3 and D guy, since Paolo and Franz matured running the offense…

And ofc the are these days where someone goes nuclear, but the way we played lately, we reduced the chances a lot.
