So I got a quadruple kill with a reaper ult and wiped out enemy team I though it was a definite potg but the potg was our rein who got 2 kills with a shatter then I thought at least it be a highlight in my todays top 5 only to find out nope not a highlight but my doom match earlier where I killed two people was like wtf?
It has always been weird, I believe environmental kills also take priority.
