I was pretty excited when we signed him in the offseason and for what seemed like such a cheap deal. I honestly am surprised that you guys didn’t resign him. He’s really been playing poorly so far and I’m just curious if he’s always been streaky? He doesn’t trust his 3pt shot at all and just looks like he has no confidence. What are your thoughts?
Shake is extremely streaky. He’ll look like shit for a while and then he’ll look amazing. Thing about Shake is he’s very much a rhythm player who needs the ball in his hands. He can really create offense, but he needs to be the dominant ballhandler, and he’s not really good enough to be that guy. It’s always been his dilemma. But when he’s cooking, he’s fun to watch.
