Pad the floor area around the court, ball hitting the pad and having a dead bounce will make it easier to tell if it’s out of bounds and protect players that dive for them

I’d argue that 85% of the most iconic on court basketball photographs ever captured were taken from under the basket. Photographers use one lens to capture dunks and other good shots from the basket they are under(like d wade with his arms wide after Lebrons transition dunk) and a different lens to capture shots on the other side of the court (MJ game winner over Utah) all from under the basket.
