I recently got my hands on the new SteamDeck OLED LE. Excitement turned into frustration as I’ve been facing some significant software issues right from the start.

Games that are advertised as “Verified” or “Playable” are proving to be unplayable for me. For instance, I’m a big fan of Sea of Thieves, and it’s supposed to be “Verified” for the SteamDeck. However, I can’t even get past the main menu as I can’t log in to Xbox Live in both Game and Desktop modes. I’ve tried changing Proton versions, but no luck.

I’ve encountered similar problems with other games that have third-party launchers requiring login. The keyboard either refuses to show up or doesn’t work. I’ve also had instances where games hang and ignore all input.

I expected the SteamDeck to provide at least a comparable experience to PC gaming, if not better, but so far, it’s falling short.

Is anyone else experiencing similar issues? Have you found any solutions or workarounds? :'(
