I ordered what I thought was a dupe from Amazon and received an actual ‘Jeffree Star’ branded palette. And I gotta be honest, I’m not impressed with the pigment saturation AT ALL. It applies and wears like a cheap duplicate. There’s barely any pigment even with the darkest colors! (this palette was labeled as ‘generic’ on Amazon, but when I received it, was packaged as JS.)
I’m wondering if I got a knock off, or if anyone has had an iffy experience with JS cosmetics in general, specifically the pigment saturation of the palettes! Did I actually receive the ‘real’ JS palette by mistake, or is this a true knock-off with waaaay less saturation? (Which would be expected.)
Didn’t want to support him directly, obviously, and the ‘dupe’ colors matched up really well, so I thought I was buying a knock-off, but now I’m torn between the apparent JS branding on the package, which makes it seem like I got the real thing, and the quality (or lack thereof!) which makes it seem like a knock off with his packaging.
Not sure if I got the dupe or the real thing at this point. If it’s real, the quality for the price SUCKS! If it’s fake, I’d understand a bit better.
Please share your experiences with his branded makeup, or the knock offs, thanks!
I agree. There is one typo in one of the shade names, so it’s either a knock off or a bad example/mistake. Or maybe it’s just a million years old. Either way- glad I didn’t pay full price because I’m not in love with ANY of the shades.
