My main gear currently are an Ifi Zen DAC and some nice Hifiman 4xx plugged into them.
No matter what, I keep coming back to these two. I have other gear, not this is the one that pleases me the most. It is not my endgoal, but it’s superb to my ears.

shrug It works for me. The best headphones I’ve ever heard were Stax, but I have other priorities before I’d ever spend that much on cans. It’d be nice to get tube power again on the headphone system, but I’m pretty happy with the triode monoblock setup in the living room for now.
