How many times do we have to see that if you don’t have a QB, you don’t have anything. We did, literally, the exact same thing the Texans did. We hired a SF defensive coordinator as our first-time HC, brought in a mostly rookie coaching staff, and we drafted a QB high. The only difference is that we missed on the QB, and the Texans hit. And now the Texans are competing for their division after having 2 miserable seasons.

Think about what happens after Rodgers. Does anybody seriously trust this regime to draft another QB? Are we just gonna veteran-surf at QB forever? Eventually we are going to have to draft another QB, and there’s no way I want JD and Saleh doing that.

As sad as it is to say, we might have the option to draft a QB THIS year. If we don’t win games down the stretch, it’s not impossible that we end up with a top 5 pick. And if a QB is there for us to take, we’re getting to the point where’s there are limited arguments not to take them. We need someone after Rodgers, and we might not get another opportunity for a while.

You can argue that we should be trying to “go all in” or whatever for next year, but look how that worked out this year. If we have a top 5 pick, I sincerely doubt we’re taking a WR. And if we take a lineman, that’s fine I guess, but then again I’ll ask what happens after Rodgers.

Idk, if we end up at 4-13, I wouldn’t be upset at all with a clean slate at HC and GM and a rookie QB to sit behind Rodgers if he still chooses to come back.

never underestimate how bad a team can be with a terrible QB running your offense…
