I’ve seen a lot of stuff about how Mac Jones has been put in such a poor situation, but let’s look at Devito who has also been put in a poor situation. Let’s also remember that DeVito is playing against a much better defense than Mac is playing against.

Let’s remember that Devito actually threw a bunch of passes 10 yards past the line of scrimmage while Mac attempted very few. The few he threw were nearly intercepted. You can’t blame this on the other players and the coaching staff.

Also, Mac has a pff of 59 which is terrible for qbs(excluding today), which factors out who the skill players are. DeVito is worse, but is close, and he’s supposed to be trash(and maybe he had a great pff grade today).

So which starting qbs would you take Mac over? Would you even take Mac over Zach Wilson now(honestly I’m not sure now )?
