If you feel happy we’re still 8-3, awesome. If you’re pissed we played a horrible game, that’s valid too. If you’re somewhere in between or neither, guess what, totally okay.

People on here need to stop gatekeeping how others experience the game. It’s a hobby to all of us. Whatever you feel after this or any other game is valid. Let’s have rational, nuanced debates, make fun of each other, keep it lighthearted. Just don’t tell others what to feel.

That’s all. Have a happy Thanksgiving and see y’all next week. Greetings from Europe.

I feel ya - I think part of the issue is the internet, and specifically this sub. After every win the echo chamber makes it feel like we are SB bound. Heck, every time Jamo takes a dumb this sub goes bananas.

There is definitely still a lot to do. My fear after the trade deadline is a little bit that BH is too “cheap” and may not have the guts to land a big splash when its needed. But maybe he knew that our early season success was potentially a fluke and thus didnt want to push it. (I know this sub likes to defend not getting Chase Young for a 3rd, but a smart redditor asked who we drafted with a 3rd this and and last year, to illustrate its not that valuable of a pick)

The thing is, the NFL is hard. We thought we had an easy schedule, so it was not outlandish to think this could be our year. Building for sustainable success is obviously preferable over short term winning, BUT in any sport it is tough to align most of your players primes. And then there are injuries. And schedules. We do not know what will happen to Goff. Or BJ. Or our O-Line. Our secondary. There is every chance that next year we will have a Rookie QB starting under a Rookie OC, with new CBs starting under a new DC, on a schedule way harder than ours this year. Not saying that’s bad or spells doom, just that it is possible.

So I do believe that this year we were dealt an easy hand that we could ahve used to push. So let’s hope that we have a successful offseason, get spared by injuries and make a run for it next year.
