I think it’s pretty clear to me that this front office was banking on some type of huge I nternal development from one of the players after looking at the start to this season, and wisemen was one of those hopes for them.

But I really don’t get what this team is doing. We have been trying to be competitive in games (which we have been more competitive score wise) , and are failing miserably in the wins department. None of those guys significantly developed in the off season either, and after this terrible win streak I’m left wondering why not play James wisemen? We already have been losing badly enough why not give him minutes, because it’s clear front office evaluation of his talent hasn’t hasn’t been good and he’s been horribly bad.

If not just send him to the G league where he can actually play minutes, he should at least get some type of fundamentals on defense down, backup big men That are good are valuable in this league. They are just wasting him on the bench after trading saddiq for him. After wisemen, I don’t think I can stomach watching another super raw player get drafted. Most of those guys can barely hoop.

Unfortunately this young man was drafted way too high for who he is as a basketball player. He has a middle school level basketball ball IQ. He’s 7ft with athleticism out the gym but shrinks when it matters on defense and rebounding. This is professional sports, you can’t be clueless and get minutes just because. We might be bad but we’re not trying to lose (although some of Monty’s early season rotations suggest otherwise).
