I don’t know the contract issues but for me it’s a complete revamp at WR and part TE. Gesicki, Parker, Juju, Thorton are completely useless. From Parker not taking accountability to JuJu being washed and Gesicki is flat out pointless here. Mac and Zappe are both probably not here depending on who they draft in the 1st or 2nd for a QB.

I know it’s a lot but there is a lot of losing mentality in the room right now. JC Jackson included on D. But this O needs…everything. We will be in the trash for years but the need to clean house of these guys IMO is a start that’s needed

    On offense:

    - Don’t think it’s easy to just cut Juju (who just signed a deal last offseason) or Parker (who has been extended). But if you can find a trade partner for one or both, you do it, even not knowing what kind of player Bourne will be coming off ACL surgery.
    - Similarly, I’m not cutting Thornton or just trading him for peanuts. You at least give him training camp next year and see what he looks like with a different coaching staff. (I am assuming Troy Brown is gone.)
    - Agree with those who are realistic about Trent Brown. For all his flaws, this is a league with a dearth of tackle talent and it’s hard to find even mediocre players at that position.
    - I’m not over-extending to re-sign Onwenu, sorry. I hope he comes back on a reasonable contract, but I’m not convinced he’s the long-term answer at right tackle, and you have to be judicious with what you pay a guard.
    - I would absolutely shell our for Kirk Cousins if the opportunity presents itself, regardless of draft position. If you get even a good-but-not-great starting QB and you’ve got the cap space, you do it.

    On defense:

    - I’m not particularly excited about bringing back JC Jackson. You’ve got a tall, physically dominant, shutdown corner on one side in Gonzalez. You don’t need a player like Jackson, who has those physical traits but costs you in terms of team culture. The Patriots are going to need a lot of character guys in the locker room next year to right this ship and moving on from both Jackson and Jack Jones is probably a step in the right direction.
    - I have few worries about the rest of the defense. Front 7 is stacked with talent, especially considering Judon coming back and what we appear to have in both Barmore and White (who I think is going to be a monster). The team can handle the departure of Dugger if he asks for the moon in free agency, given what they’ve got in Phillips and Peppers.
