If Tepper really wanted to win and really wanted to start over, he would congregate a panel of people who have had success in the NFL to start the search for a President of Football Operations. Let that person start cleaning house and starting over and letting someone who actually knows the game make decisions and leave the business stuff to Tepper

The Panthers have had a somewhat recent history of chewing up and spitting out their own best talent. It started with Smitty, went to Cam, and just kinda spiraled into us trading our best players for what is looking more and more like absolutely nothing.

This team has no leaders. In the front office, nor in the locker room. It has very few “stars” and a rookie QB. Our best players are on the verge of demanding contracts we cannot really afford, and we’ll lose them just like we sent away our other stars. We spent money on FAs that haven’t really panned out, save one.

This is an absolute dumpster fire. The worst I have ever seen since day 1 of the Panthers being an NFL franchise.

I was thinking during the game yesterday, daydreaming if you will, about how I would handle things if I was an owner, or somehow in charge of righting this now sunken ship. The first thing that came to mind was to bring in the veterans of our franchise’s history and form some kind of committee approach to both short term and long term decision making. Get Smitty, Luke, TD, Olsen, Jake, Gross, Pep, etc. and yes, even Cam in the room for a sit down. Dan Morgan shouldn’t even be included in this company. Let this team be responsible for a search for a new President/GM/CEO of Football Operations or some other some such position and lock Tepper out of the fucking room until it is time to write a paycheck. Get the committee on scouting and Free Agent duties. Let the actual pieces of this franchise’s history have a guiding presence.

Trim all the fat. All of it. Fire sale everything and start 2024 like you’re a new franchise looking to make a splash in its first few seasons. Cut Miles Sanders immediately to send a message. Let Burns walk. Hopefully convince Luvu to stay on a deal and build around him. Put Jeremy Chinn back in a position to make plays. Find some goddamn decent OL. Coordinate your effing offense and for the love of all that is holy learn to make adjustments. Fire all the strength and conditioning staff. Replace the playing surface. Start it all over. Move the Panthers to Raleigh if you have to.

This isn’t my Carolina Panthers and it hasn’t been ever since David Tepper took over.

Sell the team or remove yourself from the room and let the actual football operations take place.
