Kinda what the title says, I’m still a bit confused on what needs to happen on Tuesday for us to make the in season tournament. I know we need to beat Chicago by at least 23. But what else needs to happen? I’m new to these type of toruneys so i’m a it unsure how the point differential effects things.
Worst case scenario is if BKN loses we play for the wild card spot. Obviously if the Knicks win by 30, the already have +18 on us so we have to win by 49. But also if the Heat beat the Bucks by 1, then we would have to beat the Bucks +38 differential.
Best case scenario is we beat Bulls by 23+ but BKN wins by less than 15. Second best(wild card) is we win by whatever amount and then no team finishes 3-1. Which means ATL over Cavs, CHA over NYK, MIL over MIA
Seeding wise, we can’t get the 1 since IND is 4-0. 2 is if MIA beats the Bucks by less that 11(very unlikely if Bucks beat the Heat since they’ll only add to the +39 they have). 3 if the Bucks beat the Heat.
