Hey Everyone! I’m building a cool new product that might be relevant to this community.

Oasis is a dynamic digital repository of project ideas. It’s a platform where people with interesting project ideas can share them effectively with others who are looking to build. It doesn’t matter what domain the project idea is from (startups, research, NGOs, physical products, or even video games); all that matters is that it is a clear actionable project idea.

If you find yourself thinking, “This is such a great idea; someone should do it”, put it out on our platform; through our filtering systems, we’ll make sure it reaches a pool of people who will likely be excited to pursue it.

Intrigued? Learn more or sign up for our waitlist at www.oasis-of-ideas.github.io

Doubt it? I’d love to hear from you; tell me why you’re hesitant!

    that’s a unique concept.

a platform for all kinds of ideas - startups, research, games, sounds inclusive.

the ‘someone should do this’ idea getting a real chance to come to life is exciting.

i’ll check out your site and see how it’s set up. curious, how do you ensure the ideas get to the right people?

and what about support or collaboration once an idea is picked up?

sounds like a great tool for this community. anyone else intrigued or have thoughts on this kind of idea-sharing platform?

Great questions! We’re still building our MVP, but we do have fairly detailed sketches to illustrate how we think it would work. Happy to show them and get your inputs (email me at oasis.repository@gmail.com and we can schedule a chat).

When you submit an idea, we’ll need you to choose some parameters (category, expected execution time, expected complexity etc). Users will have the option to choose the kind of content they see on the feed (they can specify – only show software development projects). For now, this kind of manual system would suffice. Eventually, we will consider developing a proprietary algorithm to better execute the task.

Regarding support, we won’t be having many provisions immediately since that isn’t quite the focus. However, in the long term, we do plan to add a blog (good for SEO too) where there would be more guidance. Possibly also pay some experts in the area to create valuable content.

Regarding collaboration, for each idea, we are developing a mechanism for people to discover who else was interested in it and then perhaps form a group chat.

      Hope that helps!
